So Its been way to long.  Recap of the past month and a half.  Ranger challenge went well.  We got 6th out of 18 teams.  I scored a 335 on the PT test and got the highest score on the grenade assault coarse.  I broke up with Roxanne.  She liked me a lot more than I liked her.  It got to the point where it felt like a total obligation.  It was hard to do and a little weird being around each other at first, but everything is well now and we get along great.

Thanksgiving was great!  Chase and Megan came in.  Leayn and I went and picked them up at the Nashville airport.  Cody also came in.  So the siblings, except for Quinton, all had their significant others in making me the tag along all week.  But honestly I enjoyed it.  We had a lot of fun together.  It was also Mom's birthday over the break.  So everyone, including Cody and Megan, pitched in and got mom a designer purse from the mall.  It cost about 200 dollars.  But she really seemed to like it.

I had an MRI done over break.  Turns out I have a torn medial meniscus in my right knee.  I have planned for a surgery over Christmas break with Dr. Matthews

Cody is trying to get me hooked up with his cousin, Shawn Thaxton, whom I have never met before.  But I got her screen name and have been chatting with her for the past 2 days.  I'll have to see where that goes.  Other than that not too more has been going on.

So we got totally destroyed by Tennessee State 45-28.  That gives us 3 conference losses.  It was a horrible game all around.  It was cold and windy, so the girls had to wear their warm-ups which made it harder to stunt.  I kept catching Roxy's pants under her shoes, and they were really slick.  Jana got a concussion in a basket toss.  The guys caught her really tight and she stopped suddenly and her head got whipped back.
Fall break was much needed and very relaxing.  I went home and just hung out with my parents.  Mom wants a new car so I went car shopping with her.  Dad and I went flying at Rhea Central.  I played backyard football at Rhea Central on Sunday.  There was about 25 people who shown up, I was impressed.  I played for about 3 hours.  Looking back I wish I didn't because I managed to hurt my right knee.  There wasn't a specific hit that hurt it, just the relentless starting, juking, and stopping did a real number on it.  I got home and could barley walk.  I went to Wal-Mart by myself and wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make it through the store because my knee started hurting so badly.  It kept catching on itself and popping.  I know that if I go to a doctor they would tell me that I need surgery.  I know that I have torn something, it feels worse that the first time I hurt my knee wrestling.  But I have too much coming up to have a surgery detour my plans.  I am leaving for Ranger Challenge tomorrow, I hope my knee will hold up throughout the competition, I would hate to let the team down.

So today was supposed to be the hardest day of Ranger PT of the year.  All of the upperclassmen have been telling us how much we are going to hate it and how hard it is going to be.  So I get there this morning and we start off by running as fast as we can to stations doing push-ups, sit-ups, and flutter kicks.  The next station was downtown and when we got there we were told to face the building wall and put a toboggan on over our face so we couldn't see anything.  The upperclassmen were cussing at us telling us not to peak out.  they took us and loaded us into trucks and started driving down back roads for about 10 minutes to disorient us.   Once we got to were we were going they guided us out of the truck and took us to a dirt road where they instructed us to take off our toboggan and run without turning back until we see the next Ranger.  As soon as the Raider Commander said go, everyone took off without looking back.  when we got about 50 yards out, the commander was yelling for us to come back, I immediately stopped and turned back, but everyone else kept running because he said not to turn back.  After the group finally came back, we realized that we were at a Shoney's and we were being treated to breakfast for our hard work throughout the year.

Well It's been a while since I have been on here.  So whats new?  We beat UT Martin @ Martin 10-13 in an awesome game.  And we lost our homecoming game to Austin Peay 27-30.  So a little bit of good and a little bit of bad.  Homecoming was fun though.  We had a routine for the Greek cheer competition that went perfectly.  Everyone hit squad toss libs and toss extensions.  The libs sucked because we had to hold them for two 8 counts, then pop off and go straight to toss extension.  After that we hit a hitch pyramid, I was the toe pitch.  Fall break is just around the corner and I can't wait.  I am totally not doing as well as I wish I was in school.  So the break will finally be my chance to relax and do hopefully nothing while I am home.

My cousin John came up to tech on Sunday night.  I invited him to come up to stunt around with Roxy and myself.  We went to the gym at about 6 and stunted around for a couple of hours.  John had a lot of fun because he hasn't stunted with anyone good in the past year.  We all went to Chili's after stunting and since John had to deliver something to the restaurant, he got to eat for free while we got half off.  We went back to Roxy's apartment and played guitar hero for a few hours.  When we were bored with that, John wanted to go back to the gym to stunt some more...So we got there around midnight and stunted some more until about 1 or 1:30.  After an Ice-cream run we finally decided to call it a day.  Since I stayed up till almost 4 and had to be up at 5:30 the next morning, it was almost inevitable that I slept through my alarm clock.  So I missed a PT class, but it wasn't a big deal.  I spoke with Sgt. Streett that day and he said that he would let it slide since I had the highest PT score in the battalion.

So Tech took on Murray State yesterday and completly destroyed them 48-24!  To make it even sweeter, it was a confrence game.  I had a pretty good night cheerleading.  Coming into the game I was smoked from ROTC PT that morning.  We had a 6.5 mile ruck march/run starting at 5:30 that morning with 35 lbs of weight in full BDU uniform.  It totally kicked my butt, my legs felt like jelly.  I was tired for the rest of the day and didn't have a chance to get a nap before the game.  During warm-ups, Roxy and I couldn't hit a toss lib to save our lives, I thought that that would be a forteller of things to come at the game.  But as the game started and I got a little more warmed up everything seemed to go a little more smoothly.  We only dropped one stunt...a toss hands.  Pretty embarassing.  But other than that we had a great game.  We had to put on a half-time show for the Cheer Extravaganza.  About 100 little girl cheerleaders from all of the surrounding area came and spelled out Lets Go TTU on the field and did 3 chants.
So this week I have been spending about every waking moment with Roxann.  I don't know what it is but I can't seem to get enough of her.  She totally makes my day.  Maybe soon I will write a post about why she is so awesome.
